YESSSS! NO MORE ASKING "WHERE ARE YOU YEEZY?" BECAUSE YEEZY IS RIGHT HERE! Next to Jay-Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Nas, and Eminem, Kanye is my favorite rapper. I love his flow, word play, and attitude. Also before he started rapping, the beats he produced are some of my favorites. And he can dress his ass off. Everyone calls his arrogant and an asshole but damn it I love it. That's what rap is about, letting everyone know you are here and you are going to tell them what it is. Shew I was in my house cheering when he got up on that stage and snatched the mic from Taylor Swift. He said exactly what I was thinking and if I was bold I woulda hit home girl with a few to the left waves and a "PLEASE PASS THE MIC!" ANYWAY!
I'm loving 'Power' and the lyrics are surely powerful. CANNOT wait for Good Ass Job.
Got this via Twitter [yes I hate that bullshit but when you're bored at work and your job is trying to block blogger, trust me it helps] from Miss B. Scott. So you know I had to post it here! If this post goes through it'll be a miracle because work has been doing me dirty as of late, hence this long ass dry spell of not sneaking in posts at work! SMH! The fxckery! Anyway, I like the use of lights and shadows in this video. Very simple and calm like the beat. I also love Trey's verse on this. His flow and pitches were on point, everything was good. His voice is really coming along. After listening to his mixtapes I can honestly say that Trey is underestimated and truly deserves more shine. Who knows, since my main boo Chris Breezy is on cruise mode this VA boy can get a lil sunlight. Gon' head Trey Trey! Cop his album Ready which is in stores TODAY! He will also be in Brooklyn tomorrow. So sad I can't go but all you other fans have a fun time. Shoo...Trey is about to be my boyfriend #2...
Goapele is releasing her third studio album, Milk & Honey, in early 2010 courtesy of Skyblaze Recordings. This single was leaked in early July and the official video was released yesterday. I love Goapele, I think her voice is amazing and this is definitely something different from her normal style [however I do bangs wit it, so carry on!]. This song is more seductive, sexy, and definitely appealing to todays crowd especially with that beat. Nice to hear something new after she left us for 4 years [=/]. She is currently recording her album in her hometown of Oakland and Kanye will be producing a track or two so I am definitely hyped to hear what he cooks up. Mmmm Kanye's production + Goapele's voice = instant crack. I'm excited! Well peep the video for 'Milk & Honey'.
I have not blogged in 9 days due to work, SAT class, events, and lack of sleep. Every time I open up Blogger in my broswer, I wake up at 4 am with drool on my arm [don't judge me *serious face*]. I even thought that I lost the love for blogging until this week where a thousand things to blog about hit me like a fkn brick. This is one of them. Kid Cudi's new video for 'Make Her Say' featuring hip hop heavy weights Common & Kanye West is finally here!!! I have not watched the entire video due to the fact that I am sneaking in a post from work right now [maybe I should do this more often] but from what I have seen and since I love the song [it's on my blog duh] and sang it along while the video was on mute...I like what I see. Very creative and no bouncing tittays [Drake -_-]. This video is the love of my life right now. Cudi, Common, and Ye in one vid??? YASSSS! LIFE HAS COME FULL CIRCLE! Anyway enjoy this for me while I'm stuck in a cubicle searching for my lost earring =/.
Well what can I say about Drake. He's been on the scene since 2007 with multiple mixtapes and his first video was 'Replacement Girl', a song that I love dearly and jam to. I knew him as Aubrey or Jimmy but now he is Drake, the newly signed Young Money Records rapper. I hate to see all of this new found love everyone has for him because where the hell were you when 'Replacement Girl' came out? None of you fools voted for it and now 'Best I Ever Had' is getting crazy radio play. Don't get me wrong, I'm not salty I'm just saying this gravy train behind him is not sitting well with me. And why Degrassi never let Jimmy walk? Thats besides my point lol. HERE is the official video for 'Best I Ever Had' directed by Kanye West and filmed in Brooklyn's Bishop Ford High School [ew *stink face*].
What do I think of this video? It was nice seeing Trey Songz, Fabolous, Consequence and the Young Money crew making cameos. LMFAO @ the big heifers on the green team constantly dunking on Drake's pink chicks. I love how when the chick who looks a lil like Rihanna went for that winning shot and the big green chick was like 'You don't want that!" and smacked it down with her pimp hand. Overall this wasn't the theme I was going for but then again I'm not the director. The song is old to me so I don't get a thrill anymore but it was still nice. Okay I'm lying I was bored as hell. My only main issues are the constant titty action and the booty tooting. The males will find this glorious but I find annoying. If I wanna watch boobies bounce I'll jump up and down and stare at myself. However I will say that those girls have some nice tatas, they bounce like they are real but once again that's not the point lol. My point is this video is straight perverted. Period. And no one can say I am lying. And what as good with that bad acting? Those video hoes...ahem...erm...I mean video models [and I use that term very loosely] need not be acting ever again. Even though they each had the same line, they sounded bad saying it. Even their facial expressions were bad. Ladies, I say this in the most encouraging way ever: just stick to making your titties bounce unnecessarily, it'll get you far. Um Aubrey...that little speech around 4:07 was the funniest shxt I have ever heard. Line of my life: "Now when you're out there and they put that D on you, TAKE THAT D, TAKE THAT D LIKE THE CHAMPIONS YOU ARE!"
That's right ladies take that D like the champions you are *wink* -_- Thought he was slick with that one there lol.
Slim Thugg Signing out for the night/early am. I gots work in the morn! PAYCE!
And as always: jeans should be skinny, pockets should be fat. And you know why? Because the Skinny Bitch Said So Duh silly!
If you haven't noticed I don't really mess with mainstream rap unless it's Kanye West, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Cassidy, and a few others. Curt@!n$ is one of the greatest and freshest rappers I have heard in a long time along with some other underground artists. I never share my music ['cause I'm stingy like that] but this song is a must for everyone to here especially black folks. It debuted today on MTV U so I know tons of college kids and those lucky suckers with Verzion Fios saw it if they were watching. The message and video are clear and it's something that we all need to take heed of. So here is 'Black Folks' by Curt@!n$:
HAHA!!! FINALLY! This song has been playing on Music Choice for a hot minute now, since January I think. The Dreamgirls love this song and even though it would be considered bad music, we adore it. Sure as hell better than Soulja Boy [I'm not even gonna lie I have 'Turn My Swag On' on my ipod =x ]
Well I just peeped the 'Prom Queen' video by Lil Wayne and at the end of the video this song [the one above] came on. I am like what the fxck is this and then I go listen to it. I don't know why but this song makes me laugh sooooooo hard. It's the beat combined with the lyrics that has me in a roll.
Try me baby, Try me baby I'm the shit, I'm the shit Love me darling, Love me darling don't you, don't you
Kiss me baby, Kiss me baby I'm the shit, I'm the shit Feed me mama, Feed me mama I want you, I want you
Bless me angel, Bless me angel Tick tick tick, you're the bomb I will be your Vietnam Tick tick tick, you're the bomb
The fck? CTFU! LMFAO! So this is the best rapper alive huh? Stupid people.
So before I go off on a sneaker loaded blog [I've been slacking man smh] I have to express my excitement over the remix to Ego by Miss Beyonce. Everyone has a reason to pick on her and I honestly don't see it, as much as I HATE this word, people are just haters *shudder*. This song is on my playlist and I listen to it quite often because it's my fav off of I Am Sasha Fierce. Hell it's on my lil music player here but that shxt is on shuffle so it may not play as much as I would like it to. I did a damn blog titled 'Ego' singing the chorus because that is just how much I love the song. But here is the banger right chea...one of my most favorite rappers and quite possibly one of the greatest of all time [you know I am right] KANYE WEST IS ON THE MUDDASKUNTIN' REMIX! *cue angels singing music*. Anything this man is on is sure to be golden and I know Ye can do no wrong. Ugh the search I have been doing to hear this song has been failing miserably. Ye and Bey did a good job of hiding this so I have to wait for the video like everyone else ...-___-. Speaking of the video, the choreo has been leaked on youtube so you can go view it there and no I will not post the video here because I am lazy. Head over to my facebook or C&D to peep this zestleman [love that word lol] doing the choreo. Homeboy is fierce to no end. I wish he had on more clothes but he puts bfs dance concert to shame =x.
I love this song even more now and the anticipation is killing me. I think Kanye should send it to me. Why? 'Cause the skinny bxtch fkn said so. Duh. Peace fxckers.
*update 4/5/09* I just downloaded the remix and it is proper if I do say so myself.
My friend asked me why I don't blog about music since I am always up on new shxt. Well answer for that is... I am stingy. Plain and simple. I find something that I love and I don't share it because I don't want everyone and they momma on my ish. I share with 3 close friends and that is it. [that's a lie because I heard about Chester French (N.E.R.D concert) and LMFAO (being nosey on M.I.A's myspace) a while ago and I never shared] It is up to you to go music hunting, I do my shxt by my lonesome. With that said. Kanye has a new song that was leaked so he decided to just put it out there [check his blog for that, I read that at like 2 am yesterday]. And everybody is up on my boo #5 Aubrey Graham aka Drake aka Drizzy Drake aka Jimmy from Degrassi already so no intro is needed for him. Allhiphop.com gives him mad props and I was a little skeptical at first but Drake is sick. His flow is something special. Bravo for him making moves from actor to rapper. Keeping that paper flow and talent in check, I am not mad at all. GONE HEAD BABY! lol. He is working with the best in the business and I am glad for him. However, his success has proven the reason why I don't share music. EVERYBODY AND THEY MOMMA are tooting Drake. If I heard one of his songs or see a line from one of his songs on myspace one more cotton picking time...I'm gonna shriek. *hits play on the mixtape*
Yes, some people say to me you're too skinny, but never a skinny person says that to me, only people who could lose a few pounds say that. - karl lagerfeld.
